Breast Augmentation And Breast Lift Sacramento

Mastopexy | Breast Lift | Breast Augmentation | SacramentoA mastopexy, or breast lift in Sacramento with breast augmentation is a combination procedure that lifts sagging breasts while also increasing the cup size of the breast. Aside from improving the size and overall appearance of the breasts, a mastopexy with implants benefits patients by keeping breasts firm and supple for many years. Gravity does not have the same effect on implants as it has on natural breast tissue, so implants will retain their height and shape more easily.

Candidates for Breast Augmentation & Mastopexy

If you have sagging breasts and a loss of fullness in the top portion of your breasts, you are likely a good candidate for a combined breast augmentation and mastopexy procedure.

Like the rest of the skin and tissue of the body, the breasts sag with age. As we age, the structures that support the breast become stretched and weaker. This sagging can be intensified by pregnancy, genetics, stretch marks on the breasts, and weight gain or loss. Many women seeking a breast lift with implants wish to regain the full, youthful breasts that they had as a teenager along with increasing the size of the breast.

Benefits of Breast Augmentation & Mastopexy

Breast implants will add to the overall results of the breast lift procedure by lifting the breast and increasing your cup size in a single step. Many women also benefit from the combined mastopexy and implant procedure by extending the results of a breast lift. Gravity, pregnancy, and changes in weight can all cause your breasts to sag, even after breast lift surgery. Implants, however, are less affected by gravity than human breast tissue. When you undergo the breast augmentation and mastopexy procedure, your breasts will typically remain full and perky for longer and may not require the need for future procedures.

Mommy Makeovers

After childbirth, many women experience sagging, stretched, uneven breasts, sometimes with a loss of volume as well. As you dedicate your time and energy into caring for your growing child, it is important to take care of your personal needs as well. Many women lose self-confidence and motivation as they see their bodies change and struggle with stubborn changes that often cannot be fixed through diet and exercise. A restored youthful appearance after childbirth can be achieved through Mommy Makeovers.

Mommy Makeovers helps new mothers reverse the effects of childbirth through cosmetic procedures such as a breast augmentation and mastopexy. Post-maternity breasts are often the perfect candidates for this procedure as the breasts often stretch and sag after breastfeeding. The combination procedure lifts the breast and increases the cup size, providing a full, natural-looking breast that allows women to tackle the responsibilities of motherhood with a renewed confidence and positive outlook.

The Procedure

The combination breast augmentation and mastopexy procedure is performed using methods similar to a standard mastopexy, only with an implant inserted into the breast beneath your pectoral muscle or mammary gland during the procedure. Dr. Green will first make an incision to remove the excess skin that causes your breasts to sag.

Before your surgery, Dr. Green will discuss with you the type of incision to make that will provide the best results for your individual procedure. The most common incision types are:

  • Concentric (Doughnut, Benelli, Crescent) Technique – These techniques involve two circular incisions around the circumference of the areola, and may also include extra incisions to effectively place implants, lift the breasts and align the nipples.
  • Standard Anchor (Wise Pattern) Technique – This incision involves a circular incision around the areola, a vertical incision below it, and a curved incision along the crease of the breast.
  • Vertical (Lollipop) Technique – A vertical incision is similar to the Concentric Technique, but extends the incision below the areola to the breast crease, creating the shape of a lollipop.

Complications

The same complications may occur in joint breast augmentation and mastopexy that may occur in the separate procedures. As in separate breast augmentation and mastopexy surgeries, however, complications are rare and usually minimal. Dr. Green performs all of his operations with great care and precision, ensuring that his patients can enjoy a quick and healthy recovery with a very low risk of complication.
